A frequency selective surface with absorber characteristics is presented for industrial, scientific and medical radio bands, specifically 2.4 GHz band, allowing the transmission of other useful microwave signals such as mobile phones. Such absorb/transmit surface consist of a metal and resistive frequency selective surface with square loop geometry, that provides angular stability and independence of polarization without compromising the absorption
